National trade show will help businesses, entrepreneurs and
professionals profit in the growing, legal marijuana industry

PORTLAND, Oregon — Businesses, entrepreneurs and creative marketers are invited to attend the national Cannabis Creative Conference, which is being held July 29 and 30 at the Oregon Expo Center in Portland, Oregon. The cost is $99 for one day, $149 for both days ($295 after July 15), and attendees can register online.

The United States economy is experiencing a revolution through the legalization of cannabis, both for medicinal and recreational use. Washington State alone is selling $1.2 million in legal cannabis daily according to the Liquor Control Board, and the revenue promises to grow — not just from plant sales, but also for supporting businesses.

“Oregon is the perfect location for this inaugural conference,” explained Mary Lou Burton, owner of Bravo Trade Shows and event organizer. “Oregon is the next state to authorize legal recreational cannabis, starting on July 1, 2015. As the state ramps up to unfold rules and regulations for recreational cannabis sales, businesses and entrepreneurs are setting the stage for their future success.”

The Cannabis Creative Conference (or CCC) was developed by cannabis industry businesses to share strategies and cultivate important conversations around:

  • regulation
  • marketing strategies
  • financial strategies
  • legal considerations
  • creative approaches

The CCC is bringing together expert speakers and leaders who have blazed trails in the industry:

  • Steven Marks, Oregon Liquor Control Commission, Executive Director
  • Aaron Smith, National Cannabis Industry Association Co-founder and Executive Director
  • Amy Margolis, Emerge Law Group, Attorney & Shareholder
  • Laura Harris, Laura Harris Consulting & Former Director of the Colorado Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division
  • Noah Stokes, CannaGuard Security, Founder and CEO
  • William Simpson, Chalice Farms, Founder
  • AC Braddock, Eden Labs, CEO

There will be booths demonstrating growing technologies, organic and sustainable approaches, and ancillary products and services. There will also be scaled-down, interactive grow and dispensary displays.

In addition, there will be investors, cultivators, processors, retailers, physicians, scientists and consultants lending their expertise. No cannabis is being sold at the event.

CannaGuard Security, Elevate, Chalice Farms, DOPE Magazine, Willamette Week and OCBC are CCC’s top sponsors. Future conference dates and locations will be announced as they become available.
