Dixie Holdings, LLC., one of America’s first revolutionaries in THC-infused edibles, topicals and tinctures, today announced the formation of Dixie Brands, Inc., a Delaware corporation. The Company plans to enter a minimum of five additional markets by the end of 2014.
Formed for the primary purpose of managing the licenses and intellectual property of Dixie Elixirs & Edibles and establishing the manufacturing and distribution relationships for those products, Dixie Brands, Inc. will be responsible for the national expansion of the Dixie brand and products, in markets across the country which offer their citizens access to legal marijuana.
The potential for a national roll out is significant, but given the complexity of individual state regulation, Dixie Brands will establish manufacturing and distribution agreements with state approved license holders in each market. The terms of those agreements will be negotiated on a state-by-state basis. The Company is currently in detailed discussions with license holders in Arizona, California, Canada, Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Rhode Island and Washington.
